For beginners and those who want a refresher, or just more time playing with paper. We'll learn the basics of paper pulp making, sheet forming, embedding inclusions, layering, and pulp painting. We will work with recycled paper, denim, abaca, and daylily pulps to create sheets of paper for infinite uses. Bring lunch snackables to share and wear comfy sneaks you don't mind getting wet! The day will be spent mostly indoors with some outdoor botanical hunting (if you choose) and picnic lunch, weather permitting.
You'll be led by Kathleen Hayek, owner of EBS who will get you started with these oh, so simple techniques and encourage you to experiment to your heart's delight!
Deadline for registration: July 22, 2016
Bring: Materials to embed and collage into your handmade paper such as works on paper, found materials botanicals and laser copied photos or writings, etc. (Note: ink-jet color prints do blur and run.) Also bring a box lunch. Beverages will be provided.
